I focus on long-term change through greater self-understanding
Meet JaNae
Seeing things clearly takes courage. It is often easier to stay in familiar patterns where you feel justified acting in ways you don’t fully respect.
I offer a steady space where you can step back from your life, build greater awareness, and explore the patterns you are part of. In my experience, lasting change happens when people move beyond blame and begin to see how everything is connected.
In our sessions, you lead the way. I want to know what you are noticing and I want you to pay attention to what you think (instead of what those around you are thinking). Through our work, I am helping you to shift from a cause and effect mindset (a.k.a. blaming) to seeing yourself as part of a system. This shift is critical to being empowered in all aspects of your life.
Change Begins with Clarity
My Values
Clarity over comfort
I believe growth begins with seeing yourself and your relationships more clearly—even when that clarity feels uncomfortable at first.
Thoughtful Responding
I value slowing things down so you can respond with intention, instead of feeling driven by stress, emotion, or urgency.
Responsibility for Self
Change happens when you focus on what you can understand and manage within yourself, rather than trying to fix or blame others.
Connection Without Losing Yourself
Healthy relationships allow for closeness and difference. I support staying connected while maintaining a strong sense of who you are.
A thoughtful approach to lasting change
Create Space to Think
A steady place to reflect rather than react
See Patterns More Clearly
Understand how relationships and systems influence you
Strengthen Your Sense of Self
Developing the ability to stay connected without losing yourself
Therapy with me may be a good fit if you …
Are curious about your role in relationship dynamics—not just what others are doing
Find yourself stuck in the same relationship patterns, even when you want things to be different
Feel reactive, overwhelmed, or pulled into conflict and want to respond more thoughtfully
You value a collaborative approach where your goals and pace are respected.

Family and hobbies
I’ve always been curious about families and how relationships work. Growing up in a large family, I noticed early on that people affect one another in quiet, sometimes complicated ways. That curiosity has stayed with me, and it continues to shape how I see the world and the people in it.
Outside of work, family life is full and evolving. My husband and I have four daughters who are now teens and young adults, and we’re slowly getting used to a home where kids come and go. It’s a season of change and letting go in small ways. We enjoy imagining what’s next, including opportunities to travel and explore whenever we can.
I love having routines that take some of the decision-making out of my day. I’m drawn to long walks, board games, and conversations that go a little deeper. I enjoy book clubs, audiobooks, and learning things that stretch my thinking. I’ll almost always choose a live musical or a theatrical play over a concert or sporting event—and even though I can’t remember song lyrics, I still like to have music playing in the background of my life.
